Two Arrested In Redmond For String Of ID Thefts



Photo courtesy of: Redmond PoliceREDMOND, OR -- Police arrested a Redmond couple Monday for a string of ID thefts that go back over three months and cover the state.  Redmond PD investigators said in early November, the suspects started to steal personal information of people living across Central Oregon, Eugene, Springfield and Coos County.  After months of investigative work, crews arrested Amanda Jo Reeves, 39, and Brandon Joel Hastings, 34, at their west Highway 126 home in Redmond.  Police said the two used victim's personal information via the U.S. Mail to obtain credit cards.

Reeves was arrested, charged with Aggravated Identity Theft, 1st Degree Aggravated Theft, Forgery, Fraudulent use of a Credit Card, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Organized Retail theft.

Hastings was arrested, charged with Aggravated Identity Theft, 1st Degree Aggravated Theft, Forgery, Fraudulent use of a Credit Card, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Organized Retail theft. 
 
Both were taken to Deschutes County Jail.
