Microchip, Rabies Clinic Set For Saturday

BEND, OR -- The Humane Society of Central Oregon will hold a microchip identification and rabies clinic Saturday.  HSCO's Lynne Ouchida says a small investment in time and money this weekend can come in very handy should your pet run from home.

"Quickly reunite pets with their owners if they have a form of ID, and for $20 you can plant a permanent form of identification in you cat or your dog."
Ouchida added it’s not just the microchip clinic that will help Central Oregonians.

"Rabies vaccinations are vital to the health and safety not only of our animals but our community and the rabies vaccination is required for the dog licence which is required by law."
Saturday's clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Dogs must be on a leash and cats in a crate.  For more information, call (541) 382-3537.
