Wednesday Fire Damages Powell Butte Home

PRINEVILLE, OR -- Firefighters said a Wednesday evening attic fire damaged a Powell Butte home.  Crook County crews were called to SW Rust Bucket Rd. around 10:15 p.m., where smoke was seen pouring from the top of the home.  A dozen firefighters from Crook County and Redmond fought the flames and prevented the fire from spreading beyond the attic and chimney.
Damages are estimated around $15,000.  Everyone inside the home escaped without injury.
