Two Arrested For Deaths Of Forest Grove Girls

FOREST GROVE, OR -- Forest Grove police arrested two teens Tuesday for allegedly hitting and killing two young girls as they played outside their home over the weekend.  The driver, Cinthya Garcia Cisneros, 18, Forest Grove, was arrested for investigation of failure to perform a driver's duties to an injured person.  Passenger Mario Echeverria, 18, Cornelius, was arrested for investigation of evidence tampering and hindering prosecution.

Investigators allege their car hit the two girls as they were playing in a pile of leaves Sunday evening.  6-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckerdt, died Sunday night while 11-year-old Abigail Robinson died Monday night.

Police said earlier it's possible the driver didn't realize children were in the leaves that were piled in a greenway and partially into the street.
