GOLD HILL, OR -- A Southern Oregon man has been arraigned on a murder charge in the fatal shooting of a woman described as his acquaintance in a transient lifestyle.  Joseph Simonson, 41, pleaded not guilty to a single murder count in the death of Kimberly Ann Staack, 52.  The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said the woman died of a single gunshot wound.  The two were heard arguing Friday at an apartment in the Gold Hill area.
