Culver District Floating Bond Again

CULVER, OR -- Voters in the Culver School District will face an $8.8 million bond on Tuesday's ballot.  Zoe Schumacher, Culver School Board Vice President, told KBNW News the bond will work in three specific areas:
  • $3 million will be used for safety and security measures, as well as repairs and up grades to older schools
  • $4.85 million will be used for remodeling district wide
  • $1 million will be used pay off debt for land purchased in 2008
Schumacher said these projects are vital for a growing student population.

"These improvements aren't a wish list, they haven't been a wish list for several years.  These are must do, must have repairs and upgrades that we've been requesting."
