BEND, OR -- OSU-Cascades will launch a series of open houses Thursday and Friday, focused on the school's expansion to a four-year university. University spokeswoman Christine Coffin told KBNW News they will focus on the improvements needed over the next two years.
"Neighborhood livability to housing to childcare to technology to transportation and all of those things that can make a university succeed in a community, and the community exceed because of the university is exceeding. We're looking at all of those things and kind of starting with a blank slate in many ways."
Coffin said these open houses will take place once a quarter until the four-year campus opens in 2015. Thursday's meeting starts at 6 p.m., while Friday's will start at noon. Both will take place in Cascades Hall on the COCC campus.
