Two Vehicles Crash Into Irrigation Canal Near Klamath Falls

KLAMATH FALLS, OR -- Two adults and a two-month old child were injured after two vehicles crashed into an irrigation canal north of Klamath Falls Wednesday afternoon.  Oregon State Police troopers said Howard Kingman, 70, Sisters, was northbound on Highway 97 when tried to pass a passenger car.  Kingman lost control of his SUV on the icy roads, hit the car, knocking both vehicles down and embankment and into a nearby irrigation canal.  Both vehicles broke through the ice.

The two adults and child in the passenger car were taken to the Klamath Falls hospital with minor injuries.  Kingman was not injured.  He was later cited for Careless Driving.
