BPRD To Help During In-Service Days

BEND, OR -- Over the next week, kids in the Bend-La Pine School District will be out of class for in-service days and conference.  To help fill the void, Bend Park and Recreation will offered a variety of recreational programs.  BPRD's Colleen McNally told KBNW News they'll have a little something for everyone.

"Some of the programs are structured around one topic, and some of the programs are structured around multiple topics, and being active during part of day and then maybe being a little more passive activities, such as an arts and crafts activity, in another part of the day.  So, it really offers parents and kids, most importantly, a chance to do what they really enjoy."

Activities include Babysitters Training, Exploring Archery, First Aid for Kids and more.  McNally said while pre-registration is best to ensure you child gets the program or programs that interest them, BPRD will take walk-ins the day of.  For additional program information, or to register, visit BPRD's Website, or call (541) 389-7275.
