Three Dogs Left In Hot Car Die

CHILOQUIN, OR -- Klamath County investigators said three dogs died after an woman left them in her truck for four hours on a warm day.  Crews were called to a Chiloquin restaurant on Highway 97 Monday, after receiving an emergency call that three Rottweilers had died from the heat.  Officials said a passerby tried unsuccessfully to get into the pickup truck and help the dogs, a 5-year-old male, a 1-year-old male and a 1-year-old female.
A 65-year-old Eagle Point woman was cited on three counts of 1st Degree Animal Abuse.  The Klamath County District Attorney's Office said it's reviewing the case and won't release the woman's name unless she's officially charged.
