Nine Deschutes County Non-Profits Receive Grant Awards

BEND, OR -- Several nonprofits serving Deschutes County have received an extra financial boost, thanks to the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation.  The Foundation awarded over $371,000 across Oregon, including $61,000 to nine different nonprofits in Central Oregon with a focus on food, safety, and shelter:

·         NeighborImpact:                                 $10,000
·         The Giving Plate:                                $10,000
·         Bethlehem Inn:                                   $10,000
·         Mountain Star Relief Nursery:            $6,000
·         Central Oregon Disability Support:     $5,000
·         Jericho Road:                                     $5,000
·         KIDS Center:                                      $5,000
·         Trinity Episcopal Family Kitchen:       $5,000
·         Assistance League of Bend:               $5,000

“Central Oregon nonprofits have been recipients of these grants since 2006 and we’ve greatly benefited from the generosity of the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation,” said Gwenn Wysling, executive director of Bethlehem Inn. “Our goal is to use these funds to meet the basic needs of youth in our community.”
