Lou Dobbs joined CNN when it launched in 1980, serving as its chief economics correspondent. He has continually hosted Lou Dobbs Moneyline (which became Lou Dobbs Tonight), save for one year.

Dobbs also hosts the nationally syndicated radio show, The Lou Dobbs Financial Report, and he is a regular columnist in Money Magazine, US News & World Report and the New York Daily News.

Dobbs has won numerous major awards for his television journalism, most notably a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award and a Cable Ace Award.
