Bill Baker

Bill Baker joined Horizon Broadcasting Group as News and Public Affairs Director in 2006, and has established himself as a leading broadcast journalist in Central Oregon. Baker was News Director at KPUG-AM/KAFE-FM in Bellingham, WA from 1991 to 1999. He began his radio career in his hometown of Port Angeles, WA in 1980 at KAPY-AM, and later worked as News Director at KBRC-AM Mt. Vernon, WA and as Program Director at KXRO-AM/KDUX-FM in Aberdeen, WA. He is a two-time winner of the state of Washington Associated Press Best Newscast and Best Spot News Award. Bill is also heard on the nationally syndicated “Dairyline” radio program, and also serves as its General Manager of Operations. Baker hosts “Inside Central Oregon,” a weekly public affairs program that airs on all six Horizon Broadcasting Group radio stations.

Glenn Vaagen

Glenn Vaagen is the Program Director of News Radio Central Oregon 1340 KBNW and host of Wake Up Bend! He moved to Central Oregon from Spokane, WA where he served as a producer, reporter and anchor at KXLY-AM. Before that, he was the News Director and Program Director at KMAX-AM in Pullman/Colfax, WA from 2003-2006. A native of Colville, WA, Vaagen graduated from the University of Idaho in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Television and Radio Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.

Maggie Johnson

Maggie Johnson is chief meteorologist for WAKE UP BEND! on News Radio Central Oregon KBNW. Maggie received her BS degree in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma, and studied abroad at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. When she’s not providing forecasts, Maggie enjoys walking her dog, Daisy, reading magazines while drinking hot chocolate or sweet tea (depending upon the season) and watching movies (especially those made prior to 1980).

Troy Reinhart

Troy Reinhart of Northwest Quadrant Wealth Management provides local stock market reports during WAKE UP BEND! on News Radio Central Oregon KBNW. Troy grew up in Bend and earned his Bachelor degree and did Masters Studies at Oregon State University (Economics and Forestry). He then spent nearly 20 years managing manufacturing facilities for Louisiana Pacific and Fortune Brands Corporations along with a stint as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. In addition to serving many Central Oregon clients, he acts as 401(k) advisor for several large firms holding investment and financial education meetings for their employees on a regular basis.

Tyler Simones

Tyler Simones of Northwest Quadrant Wealth Management provides local stock market reports for News Radio Central Oregon KBNW. He grew up in New Hampshire, ski racing across New England. He attended the University of Maine at Farmington, where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Economics. His career path was set when he read about Warren Buffet in the Rodger Lowenstein book, "The Making of an American Capitalist," and was forever hooked on the art of building and managing wealth. After graduating, Tyler began his career in the investment business with Pioneer Investments in Boston, MA. He has since lived and worked in Nebraska, Louisiana, California, and Oregon, working mainly on the institutional side of the investment business. He now looks forward to working directly with clients, helping achieve their long-term financial goals together.
